Situated close to Brighton in Southern England, Hollingbury Hillfort gives spectacular views across the whole city as well as providing a panormama of the rolling Downs to the north.
Not only does the hill provide a bridge bewteen the urban landscape of one of Britains most modern and prgressive cities, it also provide a bridge to our past.
This site aims explain the hill, in terms of its past significance, landscape evolution and modern archaeological importance.
We hope these pages can answer a few questions about the origins and prehistory of the site.
